  7. NetcomRouter combines with The Software Group's Netcom II communications
  8. adapter and software to interconnect TCP/IP and OSI LANs over synchronous
  9. communications facilities.  Conforming to RFC 1356, "Multi-protocol
  10. Interconnect over X.25," Netcom II allows system administrators to combine
  11. their separate LANs into a single internetwork.  NetcomRouter operates with
  12. the communications facilities provided by The Software Group's Netcom II X.25
  13. software, operating over leased or dialup lines, or over public
  14. packet-switched data networks to connect individual workstations with
  15. institutional facilities or interconnect distributed LANs as an integrated
  16. internetwork.  NetcomRouter uses SCO's netconfig installation facilities to
  17. ease the process of configuring the WAN interface to support full TCP/IP or
  18. OSI TP4/CLNS traffic.
